A very cool looking animated film from an Israeli director that is actually based on a true story of how he remembers the war he served in and the people he met along the way. Although the computer generated, non-rotoscoping imagery is interesting from a technical side, this oscar nominated foreign language movie feels distant and cold, something I couldnt' identify with this second time and it feels just to weird for my taste. Although the computer generated, non-rotoscoping imagery is interesting from a technical side, this oscar nominated foreign language movie feels distant and cold, something I couldnt' identify with this second time and it feels just to weird for my taste. Still, it's worth seeing just for the look.
