Baby Secret of the Lost Legend (1985) - (9/10)

This movie was a nostaligia trip down memory lane, something I had almost forgotten about but remember now why I loved it so much. Even though the effects are way outdated, I think it was the mystery of them finding real dinosaurs and the struggle of good vs. evil that makes this movie a timeless part of my past. In the remote rainforest, a pair of scientists find that this secret tribe have gotten sick from eating a huge animal, only to find that it's a family of brontasaurus' who have just had a baby. While trying to study them, the inevitable bad guys come and try to capture the animals but end up killing the father while the baby is safely hidden while the crime lords take the mother back to base. I think it's the human-type personality they give to the baby that makes this movie fun, as well as the ongoing off-on relationship of this married couple as they try to fight to save this species in the jungle. By the end, there's a cool chase that reminded me of the Lost World where the mother bronto is chasing the bad guy as he drives off with the baby in the back. This is not a great movie by any sense but something that is just so fun to remember how much I loved it back then and a cool reminder of how these puppet/rear projection special fx of old were still trying to bring imagination even then.
